Ramallah stands in the off-centre of a
conflict that holds me (and the world) in its grip. It is nevertheless, little known to the west further than the upcoming vague
new Palestinian "capital"… I am intrigued: I would like to
investigate it. Personally, it is also very satisfying to participate in a
street festival that brings diversity and entertainment to a city that is
really “thirsty” for it!
By
being in Ramallah, this edition will add an extremely important piece of the
“puzzle” to the project’s Middle Eastern focus. I hope to make further contacts that will allow me to bring the Monster
to more cities in the region; this will eventually catapult the Green Monster
Project to a deeper, richer artistic level – a reflection on the Middle East
through the eyes of my alter-ego, the Green Monster.
